Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (Mitt)

The Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology (MITT) was a public college in Winnipeg, Manitoba, offering certificates, diplomas, and postgraduate programs across applied business, design and manufacturing technologies, health and human services, information and communication technology, and skilled trades. Its programs combined high-school and post-secondary education with technical and vocational training. (Source: https://mitt.ca/about/)

MITT announced on January 28, 2026 that it would wind down operations and transfer selected programs to Red River College Polytechnic. From Fall 2026, the two institutions have been working from MITT’s South Winnipeg Campus while MITT supports current students completing their studies; MITT is no longer accepting applications for college programs, and prospective students are directed to RRC Polytech for future offerings.
