Your next chapter.
A plan that is yours.

A useful plan begins with what matters to you.

• Identify subjects and career directions I want to explore.
• Note my current qualification and academic background.
• Choose a course level to research.
• List what matters most in my next place to study.

Look beyond the name. Focus on the course, setting and support.

• Shortlist courses and check their official pages.
• Check entry requirements for my chosen courses.
• Compare location, accommodation and student support.
• Record my sources and the dates I checked them.

Keep estimates separate from confirmed costs.

• List tuition, living costs, travel and insurance.
• Record currencies and allow for exchange-rate changes.
• Check scholarship criteria and funding responsibilities.
• Discuss the full budget with my family or adviser.

Check the actual course and intake before setting dates.

• Check intake dates and application deadlines.
• Confirm whether my courses require language or other tests.
• Plan time for transcripts, references and statements.
• Check visa information with the official authority.

Bring the questions you cannot answer yet. That is a good starting point.

• Write down which options I want help comparing.
• Separate confirmed information from open questions.
• Ask what counselling covers, its cost and my responsibilities.
• Choose the next useful action I can take.
